The Hanuman temple in the Bhajrang Jute Mills colony is very peaceful location to visit regularly. There used to be many cows in the cowshed inside, labour colony at the back side filled mostly with oria people. The buildings were filled with many Marvari families. The hanuman jayanthi used to be the BEST festive day around ,with hundreds of people visiting the temple to seek blessings of the lord, the decoration with fresh flowers used to be excellent...this is my memory of 1970's

Temple was constructed by my great grandfather Patibanda Suryanarayana Rao. He wanted a Hanuman temple on a hill, similar to the one in Patibanda, hence this temple on the terrace.Diety is named 'Dharmachala Trimurthi Hanumatswami. Apart from the principal diety, there are two more 'murthis'on the 'gopuram'. My father was named Hanumath Prasad (meaning gift of Lord Hanuman). Mahatma Gandhi visited the then Library on the ground floor just below the temple. My grandafather P.Prasada Rao published the books of his father - Andhra Bhagavadgita, Hanumath-sthawarajam, Brahma Suthramulu etc.
